So I’ve been catching a few episodes of Real World since I’ve pretty much developed sleep insomnia. Plus Tyler seems to like watching it.

I’m watching the “Hurts So Good” episode and the ginger, Robb basically beats himself to get over whatever emotional issue he’s having. I dated someone that did that, my first real boyfriend actually.

Anyway, Robb and the blonde he’s banging are discussing where their relationship is heading. Then they talk about how they need to chill on the drinking and he needs to stop hitting himself.

You know what she says to him? Something along the lines of, “you need to stop, you look like an idiot hitting yourself”. Who the hell says that? Insensitive much?

Granted I joked about my situation with my cousin as a coping mechanism because we’ve never encountered anyone that did anything like that but with him, I was very careful about the situation. Why make someone who is already emotional unstable feel uneasy about themselves? Idiot. Then again I’m going to go with reality TV editing that made that scene look bad. At least, I hope that’s how it really went down instead of what was really shown.
